Qualifications :

Boeing Research & Technology is seeking to hire a Mid-Level Systems Engineer (M,F,D) with a strong background in Digital Engineering, reporting to the Manager of Model-based Design for X from any of our offices in Madrid, Spain OR Munich, Germany.

In this position you will contribute to the mission of Boeing’s Digital Engineering (DE) Global Center, a global initiative supporting the digital transformation of Boeing’s engineering.

The activities are ranging from conducting R&D projects to providing direct support to Boeing’s engineering functions and programs.

As a Systems Engineer you’ll be joining an interdisciplinary team focusing on the development of digital engineering solutions.

Position responsibilities :

Develop and implement Digital Engineering solutions for better integration of engineering processes and tools across all disciplines, (incl.

systems engineering, design engineering, structural analysis, production engineering, safety, etc.), focusing on digital continuity.

Conduct research in the area of systems engineering, focusing on interdisciplinary application of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods, processes and tools.

Analyze and efficiently present engineering results.

Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.

Occasional travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications (Required skills / experience)

Bachelor of Science or equivalent or higher degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physic or related field.

Experience in Systems Engineering related to product or production system development in the Aerospace / Automotive industry or similar.

Fluency in English and good communication, presentation and technical writing skills.

Must be legally able to work in Europe.

Able to travel both domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :

Hands-on experience applying Systems Engineering principals to product development and certification.

Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering methods and tools and the relevant industry standards (e.g. INCOSE).

Experience with Model-based Engineering tools (such as CAD / CAM, MATLAB Simulink, etc.).

Background in scripting / coding and experience with a programming language (Python, MATLAB, Java or similar).

Background in Manufacturing and Production processes and related Digital Engineering tools is a strong plus.

Previous experience working in multicultural environments will be very useful.

Experience with Agile methodologies.

Self-motivated with a demonstrated technical judgment and initiative.

Excellent collaboration skills.

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Typical Education (Mid-Level) :

Education / experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.

g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.

g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
