Job Description

We are looking for a high calibre, bilingual nanny & governess fluent in French (to native level) and fluent or very good English to join a lovely international family in Bad Homburg, near Frankfurt, Germany, beginning November 11th, 2024 (with some flexibility).

The responsibilities include engaging a one-year-old girl in Montessori-inspired activities and outdoor play, as well as assisting a four-year-old with school preparation and afternoon French and maths lessons.

Additional responsibilities include occasional cooking for the children, light cleaning, and assisting with play dates.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience, a friendly demeanour, and expertise in early childhood development.

An EU passport is needed so that you can work here, visas cannot be provided. This is a live-out role, but the family will assist nanny to find suitable accommodation close by.

Driving required, car provided. Working hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the option for more hours if desired.

The family will help getting nearby accommodation for nanny (Bad Homburg or Frankfurt) and will nanny can use their car to take the children to local activities.

The family would love nanny to join them on some of their trips to France, where they regularly go to spend time with the grandparents.

Not essential however.

Requirements

Bilingual Nanny-Governess : Fluency in both French and English is required.

Minimum Five-Years’ Experience : Experience working with children in early-childhood development, particularly using Montessori-inspired methods.

Warm and Kind Demeanour : A caring, nurturing approach is essential for this role.

Child-Centered Focus : Ability to engage a one-year-old in developmentally appropriate activities and support a four-year-old with school preparation and educational lessons.

EU Passport : Required.

Live-Out Role : The candidate will be based outside the family’s home but must be comfortable with daily commuting.

Daily Driving : A valid driver’s license and willingness to drive as part of daily responsibilities.

Flexible Start Date : 11th November 2024, with some flexibility.

Working Hours : 7 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of additional hours on weekends or evenings if desired.

Up-to-Date Enhanced DBS : We can assist with the application process.

Recent Paediatric First Aid Certificate : Required.

Right to Work in the EU : Necessary for the position.

Must be able to run after young children.

Long-Term Commitment : Seeking a candidate available for a long-term role.
