Compliance Manager
Your mission
As the Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive compliance framework that ensures Finoa adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
You will play a key role in managing risk, providing training, and driving compliance initiatives across the organization, as well as collaborating with senior management to continuously improve our compliance posture.
In this role, you will :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance program, including policies, procedures, and controls, to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting the company's operations, assess the impact on the compliance program, and provide guidance and recommendations to senior management.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify compliance risks, prioritize areas of focus, and develop strategies to mitigate risks effectively.
- Ensure compliance policies and procedures are up-to-date, accessible, and effectively communicated to employees.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs to employees at all levels of the organization, ensuring they understand their compliance obligations and responsibilities.
- Conduct periodic monitoring and testing of compliance controls and processes to assess their effectiveness, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Investigate compliance incidents and allegations of misconduct, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to address issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare regular reports on compliance activities, findings, and trends for senior management and the board of directors, and ensure effective communication of compliance requirements across the organization.
- Coordinate and support internal and external compliance audits and examinations, liaising with auditors and regulators, and facilitating the resolution of findings and recommendations.
- Administer the company's ethics and whistleblower program, including the receipt, investigation, and resolution of reports of potential misconduct or violations of compliance policies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhancements to the compliance program, making recommendations for changes to policies, procedures, and systems to strengthen controls and mitigate risks.
- Support business functions and departments in external or internal requests related to compliance, such as annual audits and project-related issues.
- Assist business functions in handling incidents within the frame of the respective compliance competencies.
What you need to be successful :
Proven experience in a compliance role, preferably within the financial services, digital assets, or fintech industry.
Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, regulatory environments, and industry best practices.
Familiarity with e.g. GDPR, MiCAR, DORA, BAIT, MaRisk.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate compliance obligations to all levels of the organization.
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks, identify control gaps, and implement solutions.
Strong organizational and project management skills with a proactive approach to compliance initiatives.
Experience in policy management, compliance training, and responding to audits or regulatory examinations.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and lead compliance efforts with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
