Creative Design Manager

Your Responsibilities

The opportunity :

The purpose of this position is to establish a design portfolio for our global campuses and student accommodation, enhance the existing look and feel of the campuses among all disciplines, design, graphics and wayfinding, AV, FF&E and lead our global brand facilities into a new era of education.

Key Activities & Responsibilities :

• Develop and communicate a comprehensive design concept and strategy that aligns with our brand and project objectives
• Lead the design team in conceptualizing, planning, and executing innovative and visually captivating real estate projects
• Oversee the architectural and interior design processes for Education and accommodation real estate projects
• Collaborate with external architectural firms and design consultants to ensure designs meet project goals and regulatory requirements
• Inspire, mentor, and manage a team of architects, interior designers, and design professionals, fostering a creative and collaborative work environment
• Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and promote skill development among team members
• Manage the design phases of multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality assurance
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, construction, and marketing, to align design concepts with project objectives
• Engage with real estate developers and clients to understand their design preferences, requirements, and project visions
• Present design concepts to clients and stakeholders, gather feedback, and integrate it into project designs
• Ensure design excellence and innovation while adhering to local building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards
• Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and materials selections

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
• Proven experience as a Design manager or similar senior design role in the real estate industry
• Portfolio showcasing architectural and interior design projects in residential and commercial real estate in particular education, shared offices, and student accommodation
• Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and rendering software)
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• In-depth knowledge of design trends, sustainability practices, and construction methods
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
• Rendering capabilities
• Knowledge in fit out disciplinary’s with emphasis on FF&E industry
• Experience in design for shared office companies
• German and English speaking
• Work experience in Germany, UK or Canada
