Task Responsibilities :
The Line Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall operations, activities and performance of the Aircraft Line Maintenance on a day-to-day basis.
The main responsibilities include :
- Ensuring all maintenance work on aircraft is performed according to the latest manuals and documentation specific to the aircraft type as well as the company procedures and MOE.
- Facilitating smooth interdepartmental coordination between Hangar Maintenance, Production Shops, Planning, and Engineering by setting clear priorities, resolving conflicts, and effectively disseminating information.
- Upholding the maintenance standards and regulations by consistently verifying adherence to these guidelines.
- Diligently following up on work results to confirm that all checks, inspections, and procedures are properly executed and documented, and that continuous departmental audits are conducted.
- Organizing daily line maintenance activities, ensuring all necessary information and resources are available to carry out the day's tasks.
- Ensuring operational continuity by coordinating up-to-date shift schedules, equipment availability, and adherence to safety protocols, while actively participating in maintenance and planning meetings.
- Providing reliable coverage as the maintenance duty manager, ensuring smooth operations at all times.
- Overseeing personnel responsibilities by managing staff scheduling, training, and performance within the department, maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Essential Requirements For The Position :
- Secondary technical education or accomplished apprenticeship with focus on aircraft mechanics.
- Hold and maintain Release to Service of Cargolux Aircrafts (EASA B1 or B2 license).
- Hold and maintain B1 and or B2 license and type rating level 3 for the Cargolux fleet or customers as required.
- At least 10 years of experience acquired in the field (after the apprenticeship or basic training).
- Being open-minded and relating comfortably with diverse groups of people.
- Fluent in English, other languages are considered as an advantage.
- Have good, standard knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Mature attitude and ability to work well with people and achieve results
- Good organizational and reporting skill
- Experience in supervising would be considered as an advantage
Working Conditions :
- Full-time position based in Luxembourg;
- A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection;
- The successful candidate will have to obtain a valid medical fitness certificate for the job issued by the Company doctor prior to the start of the employment;
- Be prepared to travel when required;
- Possess a valid driving license;
- The internal title for the role is "General Foreman". The final title depends on the seniority of the selected candidates.
