Head of Compliance, Digital Services Act, Trustworthy Shopping Experience
At Amazon we believe that customer trust is of paramount importance to anything we do. To raise that bar, the Trustworthy Shopping Experience team works with regulators, brands, selling partners, and customers to identify and mitigate / prevent compliance, selling partner, or product risk.
We also engage closely with our regulatory partners, and are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to build and grow these relationships.
In this new role, you will be oversee the strategic and tactical management of Amazon’s compliance with the EU Digital Services Act.
You will interface with regulators and drive ongoing reporting and risk assessment for Amazon, as well as support external audit, and data access requirements of the relevant legislation.
You will partner with numerous Amazon teams, including Seller Services, Brand Protection, Legal, Public Policy, Product Safety & Quality, Restricted Products, Community Trust, Advertising, and Shopping Experience.
You will also build and execute external communication strategies in partnership with Public Relations.
This highly visible role will be the lead point of contact for Amazon leadership in EU on this compliance plan and engage with regulators.
You must be able to present complex information in a concise manner in written and verbal English, have a track record in managing complex programs in a fast-paced technology environment, and use data analysis to support business decisions.
Key job responsibilities
1.Build and lead compliance programs with partner teams across Amazon.
2.Inform and advice Amazon leadership on these compliance programs.
3.Support external audits, transparency reporting, and data access requirements.
4.Manage internal partnerships in a culturally diverse environment.
5.Engage with regulatory partners on emerging requirements.
6.Build and execute internal and external communication.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1.10 years’ experience in program or product management in ecommerce or other online service.
2.Bachelor’s degree.
3.Business proficiency in English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1.Experience with high-scale technology programs (e.g. millions of customers, thousands of transactions per second, milliseconds of latency).
2.Experience in public policy or ecommerce legislation (e.g. GDPR).
3.Risk management background including direct working experience in building and executing compliance plans.
4.Master’s degree.
5.Business proficiency in at least one other European language.
6.People management experience.
