Position Overview : They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Sales to lead their sales efforts in Germany.
As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, and expanding their presence in the German market.
This is an individual contributor role that requires a strong entrepreneurial spirit, excellent networking skills, and a passion for plant-based products.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and drive market penetration in Germany.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with food retailers, distributors, and manufacturers to secure new accounts and expand distribution channels.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the plant-based food market, including retail, foodservice, and e-commerce channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to support sales initiatives and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Utilize market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges within the industry.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data, and generate reports to track progress and inform decision-making.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, consumer preferences, and regulatory requirements to inform sales strategies and product development efforts.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the food industry, preferably within plant-based or sustainable brands.
- Excellent network of contacts within the German food retail, distribution, and manufacturing sectors.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders and build lasting relationships.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
- Fluent in German and English, both written and verbal.
