We are searching for a Software Architect (f / m / d) for our team at B. Braun New Ventures in Freiburg.
Duties and responsibilities
- You will shape the software architecture, technical requirements and formal documentation together with the team, so that it can perform effectively
- You will guide the team in software architecture workshops and develop solutions together
- Your focus will be on creating state of the art, high quality software architecture and documentation for commercial medical products aligned with the project's goals and the company's vision
- You will make sure that design decisions are documented
- You will regularly be part of the development teams to keep a close connection to the team and the code
- You will collaborate with scrum teams, working closely with software developers, software architects, system engineers, UX engineers, quality engineers and product owners
Professional competencies
- You have a profound engineering background with a minimum of 5 years industrial experience
- You have excellent communication and decision-making skills on technical solutions in interdisciplinary teams
- You gained several years of C++ development experience and knowledge about modern C++
- You have practical knowledge in creating software architectures for complex systems
- You would benefit from having experience with IEC 62304 and similiar norms, Linux, ROS2 and / or distributed systems
- You have experience with technologies such as C++, JavaScript, Python, Qt, OpenCV, ROS2, GTest / GMock, Git, Azure DevOps, Linux, and RT Linux, making you an ideal candidate for our team
- You bring valuable working experience in regulated fields such as medical, aerospace, or automotive, which would be a significant asset to our team.
- You hold software architecture certifications such as iSAQB-CPSA-F / A or similar, which would be beneficial
Personal competencies
- You are a hands-on doer and an interdisciplinary networker
- You have an innovation mindset with enthusiasm for high-tech medical products
- You communicate fluently in English. It would be a plus if you have knowledge in German
