Transport Compliance Manager, Transportation Associate Programme (TAP)

As a Compliance Transport Area Manager you will be responsible and accountable leader for driving the compliance of Transport Associate Programme (TAP) Operations across multiple regions, defining a clear vision to drive the compliance in all its elements (people, process, vehicles) and build a path to successfully deliver it leveraging on the collaboration of Transport Managers and Support Functions.
This team is entrepreneurial, wear many hats, and work in a highly collaborative environment. You will work from Monday to Friday on the day shift.
Key job responsibilities
Impart a positive compliance culture, instil ownership and create a high-compliance collaboration across various teams
On top of Transport Manager(s) which are named on the Commercial road haulage permit for each legal entity, you will be named in the Commercial road haulage permit
Act as the responsible and accountable person in respect of the road haulage permit and partner with license holder to identify compliance gaps and opportunities
Act as single threaded owner for driving all compliance related topics and improve compliance performance and governance
Define a clear vision to drive TAP compliance work and build a path to successfully delivery it covering all compliance elements across process, people and vehicle activities
Align and coordinate resources towards the common vision and manage efforts across all teams, irrelevant if the resources reporting directly to yourself
Own lessons learnt and improvements for all compliance topics across all the teams that own compliance related activities
Work with cross-functional teams
Uphold Amazon’s high standards of process quality
Improve and streamline processes, diving deep to find root causes quickly
Find practical and simple solutions to complex problems without sacrificing quality or core functionality
Provide day-to-day support during the rollout / implementation of newer systems / processes and gather feedback
Communicate daily metrics and report exception
Prepare and participate in Operations daily calls to communicate your team's performance to Transportation Operations Management (TOM) leadership,
Travel nationally up to circa 25% of the time

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree
- Valid Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualification according to VERORDNUNG (EG) No. 1071 / 2009
- Proven experience in leading multi-site large-scale transport operations within a growing and rapidly scaling business
- Relevant experience in people management
- Prior experience within a transportations industry and compliance
- Prior experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques
- Ability to develop creative and scalable solutions independently, and drive them from ideation to successful completion;
results oriented; ""self-starter""
Business level fluency in English and German
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree or similar education in Operations Research, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics, Business Administration, or a similar related discipline
