Director Accounting (m/f/d)

What you'll do

• In your position, you'll be responsible for the professional and disciplinary management of the Financial Reporting & Processes team
• Your tasks include motivating your team through a cooperative management style as well as further developing and promoting their potential
• You'll be in charge of the preparation of the consolidated financial statements of the Sky DACH Group and the associated monthly reporting to the parent company based on US GAAP
• You'll ensure the preparation of the financial statements for the individual companies included in the Sky DACH Group in accordance with local accounting principles
• You'll take care of analyzing the accounting principles (US GAAP, local GAAP) and their impact on the financial processes and figures
• Advising the operating divisions and the Finance division on contracts, transactions and projects with regard to their recognition in the financial accounts and the relevant approval during the internal approval process is part of your daily business
• You'll act as a central point of contact for the above-mentioned topics for local management and work closely with the Finance colleagues from Comcast, Sky and the Accounting Shared Service Center
• You'll coordinate the external audit in relation to the annual financial statements

What you'll bring

• You'll bring a degree in business administration or a comparable qualification and at least 8-10 years of professional experience
• You can demonstrate your profound tax knowledge (especially VAT) and excellent knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP, local GAAP) through practical experience
• You've good knowledge of SAP
• Your strengths include a high level of analytical and solution-oriented thinking, a strong sense of responsibility and a high degree of self-motivation
• Above all, you're characterized by your leadership personality with several years of experience and strong skills in motivating employees & teams - this makes you well-versed in the topics of goal management, feedback and development
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills distinguish you, and challenging the status quo is a matter of course for you
• You describe your way of working as a hands-on mentality that you incorporate into your daily business
• Very good knowledge of German and good written and spoken English round off your profile
