In EC2 Accelerated Platforms we own the GPU-based instance families such as the iconic P5 and the home-brewed TRN1. Our daily work includes operating existing accelerated platforms, and designing their next generations.
As part of the EC2 Accelerated Platforms team you will grow your system-level development skills, learn how to build custom software for the new generations of GPU-based EC2 instance families and how to optimize existing ones, and sharpen your problem solving skills during troubleshooting of ops incidents that can cause a customer or business impact.
EC2 Accelerated Platforms is a part of AWS Utility Computing (UC) which provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry.
As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS.
Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
EC2 is looking for an experienced Kernel & Hypervisor Engineer for one of our virtualization organizations. As part of the team, you will be given the chance to have a significant impact on our systems, our business and most importantly our customers, working in diverse work environment with a flexible schedule.
You will be building the lowest layer of the Amazon Web Services software stack, engineering new EC2 instance families and developing the EC2 Nitro Hypervisor for AWS.
