About the Role :

As Head of Finance, you will play a crucial role in steering Sykell’s financial direction, ensuring the sustainability of our growth, and maximizing our impact.

You will lead our finance team with integrity, vision, and an unwavering commitment to our mission.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives.
• Lead the accounting team to manage day-to-day financial transactions, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to craft financial strategies that bolster Sykell’s mission and business goals.
• Engage with the leadership team and advisory board through regular financial reporting and insights, driving informed decision-making.
• Cultivate relationships with banks, investors, and external partners to secure the financial health and growth of the company.
• Identify and implement strategies for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Requirements :

• A robust background in finance, with proven experience in leadership roles, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial management, planning, and strategy.
• Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities.
• Fluent in German and proficient in English.
• Strong communication skills, with the capacity to engage and influence stakeholders.
• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• A deep commitment to sustainability and making a tangible impact on the environment.
