Your tasks and responsibilities:

• You implement state-of-the-art image processing algorithms to advance medical imaging and image-guided therapies in interventional radiology.
• You are responsible for the efficient implementation of image processing algorithms, as well as for conducting detailed analyses and optimizations and deploying them on GPU and CPU architecture.
• In your role, you are responsible for the entire development cycle – from sound software design through precise product implementation and quality assurance to seamless system integration. You will also actively drive our DevOps processes, thereby ensuring stable and efficient software operations.
• You work in an agile, cross-functional, and international development team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders from Research & Development, Product Management, Innovation and User Experience.

Your qualifications and experience:

• You have successfully completed a master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or Electrical Engineering.
• You have several years of professional experience as a software developer, ideally in the field of image processing.
• You have in-depth knowledge of software development for real-time systems and are familiar with developing high-quality product code in C++.
• You have extensive knowledge of Python programming.
• Your skills in CUDA and OpenMP enable you to implement algorithms efficiently.
• Ideally, you have a sound understanding of modern graphics pipelines as well as practical experience in implementing shaders using Vulkan or Direct3D.
• Demonstrable professional experience in the healthcare sector and in medical image processing, or in a comparable regulated environment, is an advantage.
