As Head of Strategic Communications & Marketing, you take full ownership of Alphawave’s external positioning and
reputation. You build the communication architecture from the ground up and shape leadership and investor narratives to establish
Alphawave as an institutional, professionally positioned platform for quantitative investments.
About the Role Our portfolio company is at a pivotal stage in its development: a systematic, technology-driven quantitative investment firm that, after years of scientific research, validated model performance, and institutional preparation, is now entering its scaling phase.
With the launch of its first capital markets products, growing institutional interest, and a clear international ambition, external perception becomes a strategic value driver — not as a marketing function, but as a capital markets asset.
AsHead of Strategic Communications & Marketing , you will act as the architect of this perception. Your mission is to position Alphawave alongside leading quantitative hedge funds, multi-asset managers, and capital markets players — grounded in substance, driven by reputation, and executed with precision. You will further develop the communication architecture (from “0 → 1”), define leadership positioning, orchestrate media, regulatory, and investor narratives, and build an international trust profile that credibly reflects growth, adaptability, and institutional excellence.
This role is a high-impact component of the company’s scaling strategy — with direct proximity to senior leadership, ownership over all external touchpoints, and the opportunity to shape the brand and reputation of an emerging European quant player.
High-Impact Agenda - Own the narrative: Take full ownership (“from zero to one”) of the communication strategy for future investors, media, and sophisticated financial market stakeholders.
- Top-tier media relations: Drive press, panel, and media engagement, strategically placing topics and managing placements like stories.
- CEO / leadership communication: Act as a sparring partner to senior leadership, shaping positioning and thought leadership across podcasts, keynotes, and signature content.
- Crisis & trust management: Lead messaging in critical situations and proactively strengthen corporate reputation with maximum control.
- Brand crafting: Establish brand messaging, vision, and credibility in a measurable way within the market and among institutional audiences.
- Performance & analytics: Manage communication in a data-driven way, measure impact, optimize multichannel initiatives, and track KPIs from share of voice to dealflow attribution.
What Qualifies You - Experience in highly regulated capital markets environments such as PE/VC, hedge funds, multi-asset management, asset management, or investment banking.
- Ability to build international reach across DACH, UK, and US among decision-makers, journalists, and key multipliers.
- Excellence in storytelling, content strategy, and C-level communication (pitch decks, panels, whitepapers, LinkedIn, media formats).
- End-to-end responsibility across PR, brand, crisis, and trust — ideally at an institutional capital markets level.
- A results-driven mindset with strong analytical thinking, ownership mentality, and a focus on delivering measurable impact on brand, pipeline, and topline.
