On its 60000m² premises in Backnang Germany about 1100 employees develop assemble integrate and test systems and equipment for telecommunication via satellite. Since more than 20 years TESAT is pioneering the development and production of space borne laser communication terminals.

To maintain its technological edge TESAT is heavily investing into quantum technologies. The company is currently involved in numerous national and international quantum cryptographic pilot projects and explores use cases for space borne quantum sensing and metrology.

Job Description : Company Background :

• develop optical and quantum communication satellite payloads
• perform system engineering task for complex optical communications payloads
• participate in technology development programs for essential building blocks of next-generation optical and quantum payloads
• work on and test optical laser setups in our laser laboratory
• analyze and interpret data
• interact and support customers regarding technical requirements and specifications
