The role : At xChange, we operate a marketplace dedicated to leasing and trading containers, providing a neutral, secure platform where suppliers and customers can seamlessly lease, buy, and manage their container transactions.
While our platform fosters smooth interactions, challenges can occasionally arise, including issues like damaged or lost containers and quality discrepancies.
As our Claims Associate, you will efficiently resolve disputes between customers across various claim types. You will act as the main point of contact for customers and collaborate with external partners like insurance providers and surveyors.
This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable insights into the container industry while developing skills in claims mediation, relationship management, problem-solving, and operational efficiency.
You will play a key role in enhancing our claims processes, ensuring high standards of quality and service excellence, and achieving our operational targets.
Location : This role can be based in Hamburg or remotely within Germany, with working hours approximately aligned to U.S.
business hours ( 11 : 00 a.m. to 7 : 00 p.m. CET). Requirements Your Impact : Claims resolution : You will mediate and resolve customer disputes related to container quality, damages, or loss, ensuring a fair and swift resolution to enhance customer satisfaction.
Insurance Management and Stakeholder Communication : You will manage operational steps related to our insurance, including monthly declarations and reconciliations.
You will communicate with our insurance partners to resolve specific claim types, such as total loss and mysterious disappearance.
Process Improvement : You will utilize data and emerging technologies to identify areas for improvement in claims handling processes, implementing enhancements to ensure scalability and efficiency while collaborating with cross-functional teams like product, finance, and support.

You bring a hands-on attitude paired with a process-oriented mindset. You are eager to run day-to-day operations with a drive to improve existing processes continuously.
You have excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a dedication to customer service, focused on providing exceptional support and solving problems for client satisfaction.
You are proficient with Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools to manage large amounts of data and drive process improvements You are fluent in English;
