As part of our engineering team, you will develop our unique firmware together with an external development service provider.

Specifically, you will be responsible for maintaining the stability and user-friendliness of over seven million Tonieboxes worldwide bringing smiles to children’s faces around the globe.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include :

• Formulating software requirements based on electronic requirements in the form of user stories
• Designing static & dynamic software architecture for embedded software
• Developing existing and new software modules
• Participating in code reviews and conducting module and integration tests
• Identifying problems occurring during operation and translating them into requirements for development

What we are looking for :

• A completed degree in Technical Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification
• At least 3+ years of professional experience in the development of embedded software in the IoT environment ideally with the use of Zephyr
• Proficiency in Jira and Git, as well as with SDK, TDD, and API
• You are skilled in testing on hardware, whether with a multimeter, oscilloscope, or logic analyzer
• You enjoy working in an agile environment and across various teams
• Fluent communication in English; ideally, you also understand some German
• Last but not least, you can imagine regularly visiting your team in Düsseldorf
