(Senior) Data Analyst (f/m/d) - Editorial & Audience
You will help the editorial teams for our great brands within Bauer Xcel, one of Germanys biggest digital publishers, making better decisions using data.
Our editorial & audience teams are working on creating relevant content to our users. This needs understanding the full user journey : from user acquisition to content consumption and monetization - all this across a large brand portfolio.
Connecting all these data, reporting the teams success, finding potential for growth and track impact of measures is extremely complex - this is what we need you for!
Your responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the editorial and audience management team on content strategy and monetization, acting as their main data liaison
- Enable teams to make data-informed decisions amidst conflicting goals
- Translate data requirements into product needs for the editorial and audience management team
- Assist the editorial unit in integrating data into daily decision-making processes
- Develop analytics solutions for decision-making, from hypothesis generation, EDA and experimentation to monitoring
- Define KPIs and create visualizations for exploration and reporting
- Connect data from various sources, collaborating with data product managers and engineers
What makes you stand out :
- You have at least 3 years experience in Analytics
- You enjoy engaging with people and explaining complex problems to all audiences
- You have excellent SQL skills, as well as good knowledge in Python or R and BI solutions (. PowerBI)
- You have solid knowledge of statistics and know how to apply it to business problems
- You know the difference between being pragmatic and doing it wrong
- You can speak and write in english and german in a business environment
- You have a background in working with online marketing data or similar, work experience in publishing is a plus
