The School of Medicine is both an education-intensive and research-intensive school, embedded within a program dedicated to community service.

The mission of the School is to educate medical students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows in accordance with the highest professional standards;

to train competent and caring physicians to practice patient-centered medicine of the highest standard; and to identify and answer fundamental questions in the mechanisms, prevention, and treatment of disease, in health care delivery and in the basic biomedical sciences.

The vision of the undergraduate curriculum is to produce leaders in Medicine who will learn to apply the foundation of a broad medical education to improve health at a national and international level through patient care, research, and education.

The six-year curriculum at EUC is a competency-based integrated curriculum. Integration reflects courses that not only bring together the various basic disciplines, but also clinical, factual, and experiential sources of information.

The overall aim is to foster the understanding and performance of professional activities in medicine in our students at an early stage of their education.

The Medical program has been fully recognized by the European Parliament and Council on the Internal Market Information System, giving the Medical Degree equivalency across Europe, as well as being approved by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (EDFMG) permitting graduates to take the US Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) and practice in the USA.

The program Doctor of Medicine has been fully accredited by the National Agency (C.Y.Q.A.A.), through the accreditation processes of the World Federation of Medical Education, ensuring that the program operates at the highest academic standards.

EUC School of Medicine currently seeks to recruit qualified academics at any academic rank for its Frankfurt branch, Germany, in the following disciplines :

Qualifications required :

• Medical Degree (preferably with a PhD) or a holder of PhD with relevant expertise
• Fluent in English (for all disciplines) and German (for clinical disciplines)

• It is preferred that candidates are currently eligible to work within the European Union / European Economic Area and have a German work visa as selected candidates should be available for immediate start

Former Teaching Experience :

• For the rank of Lecturer , substantial proof of competence in teaching and research is required
• For the rank of Assistant Professor , at least 3 years of continuous academic and research experience in renowned academic institutions is required
• For the rank of Associate Professor , at least 8 years of continuous academic and research experience in renowned academic institutions is required
• For the rank of Professor , at least 12 years of continuous academic and research experience in renowned academic institutions is required

The qualifications that can substitute the Doctorate for the election and promotion in the field of Medicine are :

• For the rank of Lecturer : (i) the candidate holds a post of Lecturer or a higher academic post, in a Medicine specialty of a recognized University, or (ii) holds a diploma in Medicine and a Medicine specialty and at least three years of work experience after obtaining a diploma in Medicine, at a recognized Medicine School, or at a recognized Research Institution (Institute) or at a Tertiary Hospital (Hospital).
• For the rank of Assistant Professor : the candidate (i) holds a post of Assistant Professor or a post of higher rank in a Medicine specialty of a recognized University or a post of Lecturer in a Medicine specialty of a recognized University, having at least three years experience in it, or (ii) holds a diploma in Medicine and a Medicine specialty and at least six years of work experience after obtaining a diploma in Medicine, at a recognized Medicine School, or at a recognized Research Institution (Institute) or at a Tertiary Hospital (Hospital).
• For the rank of Associate Professor : the candidate (i) holds a post of Associate Professor or a post of a higher academic rank, in a Medicine specialty of a recognized University or a post of Assistant Professor in a Medicine specialty of a recognized University, having at least four years experience in it, or (ii) holds a diploma in Medicine and a Medicine specialty and at least ten years of work experience, after obtaining a diploma in a recognized Medicine School or at a recognized Research Institution (Institute) or Tertiary Hospital (Hospital).
• For the rank of Professor : the candidate (i) holds a post of Professor, in a Medicine specialty of a recognized University or a post of Associate Professor in a Medicine specialty of a recognized University, having at least four years experience in it or (ii) the candidate holds a diploma in Medicine and a Medicine specialty and at least thirteen years of work experience after obtaining a diploma in Medicine, at a recognized Medicine School or at a recognized Research Institution (Institute) or a Tertiary Hospital (Hospital).
