Learning Sciencesand Educational Design Technologies is situated within the Department ofEducational Sciences of the School of SocialSciences and Technology at the Technical University of Munich.
We focus on researchat the intersection of learning sciences and design to advance understanding ofhow state-of-the-art creative design technologies can foster STEM learning forall students in school and out-of-school settings.
Responsibilities
The studentassistant will support the design of the AMC Edu : Lab as well as thefacilitation of learning activities connected to Additive Manufacturing inConstruction (AMC).
The AMC Edu : Lab isa part of Collaborative Research Center Transregio - Additive Manufacturingin Construction (AMC; which researches innovative 3D printing methods, materials, and designs toincrease sustainability in construction.
Our project aims to createopportunities for youth and the general public to engage with AMC by creatingAMC Edu : Lab, a mobile learning space.
With the AMC Edu : Lab, youth will gainpractical experience in digital design and 3D printing, enhancing theirtechnical skills and familiarity with modern construction methods and materialsused in additive manufacturing.
We want to highlight the importance ofsustainability in the built environment and empower youth to see themselves inthe fields of construction and architecture.
Requirements
- Experience in architectural designand engineering
- Very good creative skills andexperience with common digital design tools
- 3D modeling skills, preferableknowledge of Rhino and Grasshopper
- Interest in education and learningsciences
- Excited about facilitatinglearning activities with children and young people
- High proficiency in German andEnglish.
