Your Qualifications

• Education : Degree in computer science or completed training as an IT specialist (m / f / d) or comparable training in IT
• Practical experience : Relevant professional experience in object-oriented software development
• Tech stack : Very good knowledge of object-oriented development with PHP and MySQL, previous knowledge of using the Linux shell, a feel for software architecture and interest in DevOps (Linux)
• Digital Mindset : Passion and interest in web development with PHP and MySQL
• Drive and Spirit : Strong quality awareness, hands-on mentality, very good communication skills and ability to work in a team as well as high motivation
• Language skills : Business fluent in English; German is a plus

Your Responsibilities

Working in a team : You will work on exciting topics related to our multilingual car rental comparison - from comparison results and booking routes to self-services in our customer area after booking.

You will work closely with our front-end teams and external partners and implement REST API connections with them

• Take responsibility : You will be responsible for the technical implementation of product improvements and further develop our backend applications in the car rental area
• Optimize tech stack : You further develop the current tech stack of our entire backend application, thus ensuring stability and future viability of our products at the same time
• Ensure coordination and communication : You implement innovative features in close collaboration with our product managers and by contributing your own ideas.

You will coordinate with IT teams of other applications (e.g. frontend)

How we work

• Technologies : Modern backend combination (MySQL, Redis, Doctrine, Elastic and ProxySQL) with proven basis on current PHP versions as well as state of the art frameworks (Zend / Laminas, Mezzio and Symfony)
• Quality assurance : Quality assurance through code reviews, unit tests (PHPUnit) and static code analysis (PHPStan)
• Testing : Manual acceptance by our product management combined with automated testing
• Deployment : We work according to Git Flow with continuous integration supported by Atlassian tools such as Jira, Bitbucket and Bamboo
