RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Packaging Waste Specialist, you are part of our EHSQ Services Team based in Berlin, and the Packaging Waste Community for EMEA.
You ensure compliance, reporting and follow the implementation of the packaging waste guidelines for the Baltic and Nordic countries, UK and Ireland and other countries in EMEA in order to support our team’s central contact for packaging waste.
For your role, the following responsibilities are anticipated :
- You monitor packaging waste directives based on national regulations and work closely together with our Specialists to deliver reports.
- For all questions in the area of packaging waste, you provide support to our team’s central contact person for our customers and authorities.
- You establish and make use of the large network within BASF to ensure necessary information for reporting is retrieved.
- As responsibilities within the corresponding positions may be adjusted due to changes in legislation you need to interact with a high level of flexibility and collaboration within your team.
- It may also be required to support with strategic planning about packaging waste governance, legislative reporting requirements and data collection points.
QUALIFICATIONS
- degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or in a related field of study
- first professional experience with Packaging Waste / EPR / Plastic Tax reporting is an advantage
- profound user knowledge in MS Office and (SAP) databases
- strong communication skills in English, proficiency in one of the Baltic or Nordic languages, or other European languages, is an advantage
- strong analytical skills as well as a very good organizational ability paired with independent working methods
- proven project management skills are an advantage
