About our client
Our client is a successful credit opportunity fund with a strong track record. They are now seeking a Fund Controller to join their team and support them on their exciting growth journey.

The position is based in either Cologne or Munich, Germany. What the job involves
- Ongoing fund controlling, including the monitoring and management of fund performance
- Management and implementation of the budget and reporting processes for selected funds
- Preparation of quarterly reports and preparation of investor and fund presentations
- Implementing and maintaining internal controls and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participation in the preparation of investor reports
- Management of capital calls and distributions
- Creation and management of automated reporting templates
- Processing ad hoc enquiries and special projects
- Support with fundraising, fundraising documentation and investor communication
- Monitoring and evaluating regulatory developments
- Audit of accounting and budgeting
- Review of annual financial statements and tax returns as well as coordination of tax and business consultants
- Implementation and monitoring of internal processes
Who we are looking for
- University degree in finance, economics, business studies or a related discipline
- Several years of experience in audit at a Big 4 firm, ideally combined with experience in fund accounting or controlling
- Ideally, prior exposure to Luxembourg structures
- Excellent analytical skills and a strong affinity for numbers
- Open and communicative personality, as well as open-mindedness for familiarisation with different corporate law structures
- Detail-oriented and driven to deliver high-quality results
- Hands-on with a self-starter mentality
- Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
- Fluent in German and English
