Our CARIDIANS are developing vehicle functions such as driver assistance systems, a next-generation infotainment platform, power electronics and charging technology, and digital services in and around the vehicle.
Our software can already be found in Volkswagen ID. models and will soon power Audi and Porsche vehicles with the E3 1.2 platform in 2024.

YOUR TEAM
Our "UX Research & Protyping" team is looking for a working student to help to base all product decisions on insights from our most important stakeholder : the user.
You will support our UX research experts and our UX prototyping team with conducting studies using various methods, such as user interviews, focus groups, online surveys, or simulator studies to reveal user insights to uncover actual user needs.
In this team, we build mobility services in a multifaceted environment, revolving around the Volkswagen brands. These services are accessed through multiple touchpoints in a variety of car software platforms.
We work hard so that our users can stay engaged on their journey through our products and reach their destinations quickly and enjoyably.
This is why we design products across the entire lifecycle - from the very first contact to, oftentimes, a life-long relationship with Volkswagen
brands.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Collaborate closely with a team of designers, researchers, and prototypers to conduct user studies and uncover user needs for a variety of mobility related products
- Prepare and conduct usability tests on various frontends, including the vehicle infotainment system
- Visualize the results comprehensibly and conduct workshops to integrate the research findings in our products
- Support your team with development and realization of prototypes (digital and physical)
- Organize user testing events by coordinating our teams with external support for user studies
WHO YOU ARE
- Enrolled student in Human Factors, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Communication Science, Media Science, Computer Science, or equivalent field
- Demonstrated passion about UX and digital products : Strong interest in UX research, prototyping methods, and innovative design approaches.
- Data analysis experience in tools like R, SPSS, Excel, or Tableau for data analysis and visualization.Basic design and media editing skills : Experience with Figma, video creation / editing (After Effects, Media Encoder), and sound editing.
- Familiarity with visual programming (e.g., Node-red), web technologies (JavaScript), or hardware like Arduino.
- Fluent in both German and English. Additional languages are a plus
