Principal Engineer Artificial Intelligence (f/m/div)
In your new role you will :
- Orchestrate specific frameworks and strategy for Generative AI and Decision AI
- Advise applied-AI projects on industry best approaches and outside-in perspectives on state-of-art with the goal to achieve applied-AI value at scale
- Guide applied-AI projects as technical lead and collaborate to achieve concept definition and proof of concept
- Establish an external network of industry experts and evaluate partnerships (incl. strategic vendors, PDHs, consultants );
with your outside-in view you will drive the evaluation of Infineon setup
- Design applied -AI building blocks for reuse (Models, Tools, infrastructure); support and guide introduction of applied-AI pilots
- Support and facilitate internal mentorship and coaching of applied-AI (junior) experts (exchange, peer review, sparring partner);
provide vision and inspiration to our AI experts to attract talents

You are best equipped for this task if you have :
- A degree in Computer Science or Data Science or similar
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience in the field of Data and AI , within the manufacturing / R&D environment and Generative AI applications, preferably with knowledge of semiconductor design and production, digitalization, and artificial intelligence
- Outstanding knowledge and experience in Data Science and MLOps in the fields of ML / DL, Generative AI
- Experience in at least one of the fields : GenAI use for people efficiency (support assistance, etc.), AI ML for process parameter (monitoring, equipment health, etc.
AI ML for quality inspection (reduction of over rejects) or EdgeAI / TinyML (IOT and embedded applications)
- Demonstrated experience in the area of software and deployment, CI-CD, and ML operations, as well as software / AI quality
- Strong expertise in implementing ML / DL in productive environments at scale (manufacturing and R&D)
- Capability to quickly comprehend complex interrelations , structure them, and motivate others while building networks
- Excellent communication skills in English and German to communicate effectively across roles and functions
