About the role Alpine Business Consulting is a specialized team that steps in when enterprise performance management and reporting systems fail to deliver. Many companies invest in complex planning tools only to find that the initial implementation was rushed, leaving finance teams with data that does not match and manual processes that take too long. We are currently supporting a technology partner based in Berlin that needs to restructure their internal reporting systems. We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our team in a full-time, permanent capacity to help manage this engagement and others like it.
This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from your own environment while staying closely connected through digital tools. We do not believe in corporate fluff or unnecessary meetings. Instead, we focus on creating a single source of truth for our clients. As a junior member of the team, you will work alongside senior consultants who have spent years working with Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, and modern analytics stacks. This is a paid position, and the compensation is competitive for the entry-level market.
What you will be doing Your primary focus will be supporting the senior project leads to ensure our technology partner in Berlin receives clear, predictable results. We prioritize documentation that a client can actually use once we finish our work. Your day-to-day tasks will include the following items:
- Maintaining project schedules and ensuring that all milestones are tracked accurately.
- Drafting configuration guides and technical documentation based on the work performed by our senior consultants.
- Organizing team meetings and keeping detailed notes to ensure that every requirement is recorded and addressed.
- Communicating with client stakeholders to gather necessary data and provide status updates.
- Assisting with data clean-up tasks to ensure the systems we build are running on high-quality information.
- Reviewing project files to ensure they meet our standards for transparency and predictability.
- Support the handover process by preparing training materials for the client teams.
What we are looking for We are a senior-led firm, and we value directness and honesty. For this entry-level role, we are looking for someone who is organized and eager to learn the realities of system implementation. You do not need a decade of experience, but you should bring the following attributes:
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to track multiple moving parts at once.
- Basic familiarity with project management tools or a strong willingness to learn them quickly.
- Excellent written English skills, as documentation is a core part of what we provide to our clients.
- A logical mindset and an interest in how financial data flows through a corporation.
- The ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.
- Experience with standard office software like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- A professional communication style that fits with our straightforward, skeptical approach to typical corporate consulting.
- An interest in learning about Oracle EPM, SAP, or modern BI tools.
What working here looks like Working at Alpine Business Consulting means leaving the buzzwords at the door. We do not use clients as a training ground for junior staff. Instead, you will be supporting experts who have real-world experience fixing broken systems. We believe in providing fixed-price quotes and sticking to them, which means our projects are managed with a high degree of discipline and efficiency. You will see firsthand how to configure a system properly from the start, rather than just patching over problems.
This role offers a clear view into the world of high-level business consulting and systems architecture. We value the time of our team members and favor a work-life balance that is not interrupted by unnecessary office politics. Because the role is remote, we rely on clear, written communication and proactive updates. You will be expected to contribute to a culture of transparency where we admit when things are not working and work together to find a practical solution. The goal is always to hand over a system that works reliably so the client can remain independent.
