Data Quality Specialist Remote + Dortmund | 4-Month Contract | Energy Sector
📍 Location: remote with occasional onsite work in Dortmund
📅 Duration: ASAP until the end of October 2026 (extension possible)
⏱️ Workload: approximately 600 hours (550 remote + 50 onsite)

About the Project:
We are looking for a Data Quality Specialist to support a major player in the energy sector. The project focuses on improving the quality, consistency, and completeness of technical data used in grid connection assessment processes.
You will work with operational and technical datasets, ensuring that information stored in internal systems accurately reflects engineering documentation and regulatory requirements.
This role is ideal for professionals with a strong attention to detail, an analytical mindset, and experience in data maintenance, data cleansing, or data quality management.
Your Responsibilities:
- Identify and correct data quality issues within internal systems.
- Review technical records and validate information against supporting documentation.
- Update incomplete, inaccurate, or inconsistent data entries.
- Maintain technical parameters related to energy generation assets.
- Support data validation processes for renewable energy grid connections.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of business-critical data.
- Collaborate with technical and operational stakeholders.
- Maintain proper documentation of data correction activities.
Requirements:
Must Have:
- Previous experience in Data Quality, Data Administration, Master Data Management, Data Maintenance, or related areas.
- Very good Microsoft Excel skills
- Good command of English (minimum B2 level), both written and spoken, enabling work with documentation and international stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Structured and organized approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks effectively.
Nice to Have:
- Experience within the energy, utilities, infrastructure, or telecommunications sectors.
- Knowledge of data quality management processes.
- Experience working with ERP, CRM, or database systems.
- German language skills.
